Frustration!

Ive been doing so well with my eating and excercise and I'm not seeing the results I think I should. I need to work this out. I don't know what to do!

Everyone keeps telling me that every little bit counts. But I'm exercising 60-90 minutes a day, walking 7 miles a day, eating 1200-1500 calories of fresh, non processed foods and I'm seeing no results.

This is really frustrating. I stepped on my scale today and my weight went up from last time. I'm a total of one pound down.

I'm officially frustrated.

Slow and Steady Wins the Race!

So I don't know how much I've lost this week, but I'm at my parents house this weekend and I weighed myself on the scale that they have. Last time I weighed myself here (a month ago) I was 170 and today I'm 166. I'm moving slowly but I'm getting there and I'm feeling great! I even managed to squeeze in a small workout in my parents little exercise room. It's not much, but at least I'm not stopping!

This is my goal to obtain, and I won't give up.

Update!

I am so sore tonight. Every muscle in my body is aching.

I'm telling myself this is good but I'm in pain!! Hopefully tomorrow will be better so I can get back to the gym.

The Beginning

So here we are. This is not day one, it's about day 7, but it's the first day I feel ready to write about this journey. This morning, I made a mistake. I weighed myself. I've decided that I will only weigh myself once every 2 weeks, because for 7 days, I've been going hard at the gym and last night, I took my first Muay Thai class. I've been eating clean and well and I felt amazing and healthy and strong this morning when I woke up, so when I saw that I had GAINED weight today, you can imagine my frustration.

I know that it could be muscle building up (cause man, am I sore) but it was just frustrating. I see the inches falling off, my clothes are fitting better. I feel it and I KNOW it. But that damn 170 on the scale this morning drove me crazy.

I'm going to the gym later on today and I'm going to just keep up the pace, and try not to be too discouraged. I know I'm looking and feeling better so why does a number matter?

I'll check back soon! Here are a few pictures from my journey this week!

Right after my Muay Thai class! Feeling strong and healthy

My new running shoes!

One of my favorite dinners from this week, chicken broth with kale, and whole wheat croutons and a light Caesar salad.

A graze box! This thing is awesome.
